Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, trespassing, suspicious activity, and/or medical situations, and coordinate with site leadership and local responders as directed.Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials when required, assist with traffic and pedestrian flow, and support fare dispute de-escalation and/or lost property inquiries in accordance with post orders.Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.A guard card and/or license is preferred.A handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.A CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
