As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Rover in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to issues as they arise, and contribute to a caring, people-first culture. Provide customer service to staff, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, disorderly conduct, and other policy violations.Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor entrances, corridors, and other key areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate with site leadership and local responders as needed, and assist with access control and customer direction when assigned.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.Have customer service experience preferred.Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.Have alarm panel experience preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
