As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will make high-visibility rounds, assist with access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and provide customer service through clear, respectful communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and store associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeter areas, as directed by post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, lost children reports, and suspicious activity.Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct, and report observed policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement when required.Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives, and assist with access control and customer directions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
