Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public facility.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, suspicious activity, and disorderly conduct, escalating to site leadership and/or public responders as directed.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Monitor entrances and controlled access points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.Assist with visitor management activities such as providing directions, answering questions, and supporting check-in processes as required by the post assignment.Observe and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy issues to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision for follow-up.Document patrol activity, incidents, and daily operations in written and/or electronic reports, including timely notification to appropriate contacts.Support emergency and incident response procedures, including assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and access control during critical events, as assigned.Maintain a professional presence and appearance while communicating clearly with the public, staff, and local officials when needed.Use provided communication devices and technology, such as radios, phones, and/or access control systems, following post orders and reporting requirements.Comply with all confidentiality requirements and handle sensitive information in accordance with site rules and Allied Universal guidelines.Participate in required training, briefings, and post-specific instruction to maintain readiness for assigned duties.Minimum Requirements:
Customer service experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
