As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Ashland, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, document activity, and support employees and visitors with helpful service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed.Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, labs, common areas, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.Monitor access points by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry and/or deliveries per site policy, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

CPR certification is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
