As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Commercial Real Estate in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will greet tenants and visitors, manage access control and badge activity, monitor security-related systems, and respond to incidents with clear communication and professionalism. You will represent Allied Universal with a caring, people-first approach while staying agile, reliable, and innovative. You will collaborate with property staff and teammates, acting with integrity to help create a welcoming, well-managed lobby experience.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related duties at the front desk.Monitor the main lobby area, building entry points, and available systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor management tools, reporting unusual activity per site guidelines.Control access by greeting guests, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, notifying tenant contacts, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs as required.Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and emergency responders when appropriate.Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and key or badge activity records, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Guard card and/or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
