As a Security Officer - Unarmed Civic Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor grounds and facilities, conduct routine foot and driving patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, assist with access control support, and deliver clear, professional customer service to visitors and staff. Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of government property, including buildings, docks, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary access authorization when directed, and directing authorized traffic to appropriate locations.Monitor and report suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and operational hazards, and document observations using required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems.Perform unarmed screening and observation duties in accordance with post orders, including monitoring CCTV and/or other security-related systems when assigned.Support facility operations by enforcing posted rules, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and de-escalating disputes when possible while following escalation procedures.Coordinate with site representatives regarding deliveries, contractors, and restricted-area access, helping to maintain compliance with government facility requirements.Participate in drills, briefings, and required training, and follow established communication protocols using radios, phones, and/or other approved devices.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A TSA-issued TWIC is required.Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
