As a Security Officer - Unarmed Civic Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor grounds and facilities, conduct routine foot and driving patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, assist with access control support, and deliver clear, professional customer service to visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, vendors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of government property, including buildings, docks, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary access authorization when directed, and directing authorized traffic to appropriate locations.Monitor and report suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and operational hazards, and document observations using required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems.Perform unarmed screening and observation duties in accordance with post orders, including monitoring CCTV and/or other security-related systems when assigned.Support facility operations by enforcing posted rules, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and de-escalating disputes when possible while following escalation procedures.Coordinate with site representatives regarding deliveries, contractors, and restricted-area access, helping to maintain compliance with government facility requirements.Participate in drills, briefings, and required training, and follow established communication protocols using radios, phones, and/or other approved devices.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A TSA-issued TWIC is required.Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
