As a Security Officer - Unarmed Bank Rounds in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with professional communication and customer service. You will document observations, support access control, and partner with site personnel as part of a caring culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in teamwork and integrity.

Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or emergency services as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Control access at designated entry points by observing for unusual behavior, confirming visitor purpose, and directing employees, visitors, and vendors according to site procedures.Complete required reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers and/or as requested by Allied Universal supervision.Minimum Requirements:
Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.Be 21+ years of age.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Customer service experience is preferred.A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
