As a Security Officer - Transit Yard Patrol in Queens, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols of terminals, access points, and surrounding areas, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist travelers and team members with clear communication, report hazards and unusual activity, and support emergency response procedures. Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to appropriate personnel as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transportation facilities, including terminals, gates, ticketing areas, baggage claim, curbside zones, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing credentialing practices and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or client representatives.Observe passenger and employee activity for unusual behavior and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to post orders.Assist with crowd management and queue control during peak travel periods, disruptions, and special events, providing directions and information to travelers.Complete routine security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs with accurate details and timely updates.Support emergency operations by following established response procedures for medical situations, fire alarms, unattended items, and other disruptions, coordinating with airport operations and public responders when directed.Operate communication equipment to receive and relay assignments, requests for assistance, and incident updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client command structure.Conduct inspections of assigned areas for unlocked doors, damaged fencing, lighting outages, and other conditions that may impact operations, and report findings for corrective action.Minimum Requirements:
