As a Security Officer - Government Rover Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures, post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Monitor access points and controlled areas, check credentials when required, and direct visitors according to site procedures.Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as required by post orders.Complete routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and restricted areas, and report maintenance or security-related issues through established channels.Write clear and accurate shift activity reports and incident reports, and document patrols and observations per site requirements.Assist with crowd control, queuing, and/or public interactions during high-traffic periods, public meetings, or special events as assigned.Operate basic communication equipment and/or monitoring systems as applicable, and maintain professional radio and phone communications.Support Allied Universal supervisors and site leadership with security-related tasks, inspections, and/or special assignments as directed.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of security experience.The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
