As a Security Officer - Telecom Site Rounds in Sandston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and employees, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Help to deter unauthorized activity by conducting regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter.Monitor access points and follow visitor management procedures, including verifying identification, issuing badges, and directing visitors and contractors to the correct destinations.Control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements for a technology-focused location, including documenting deliveries, service calls, and contractor activity.Monitor cameras, alarms, and other site systems and report irregular conditions per post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or emergency services as directed.Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and activity logs, including documenting patrol findings, access events, and unusual conditions.Perform initial response to alarms and service requests, check affected areas, and escalate concerns through established notification procedures.Provide assistance with wayfinding and general information while maintaining a professional presence and following site policies.Communicate clearly with onsite personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding post status, incidents, and operational needs.Minimum Requirements:
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
