As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Access Lead in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment, and you will interact with visitors and personnel to manage access points. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures for personnel and vehicles entering the location.Assist with emergency response activities as required, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and emergency services as appropriate.Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and/or identification as needed for employees, visitors, and contractors.Observe and report any suspicious activities, security-related breaches, or hazards within the location to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site contacts.Maintain detailed logs and records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.One or more of the following is required: at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.Access control or badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
