As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education campus location, you will make routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post, so you will also conduct mobile patrols as needed. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.Control access at designated entry points by checking credentials, issuing visitor instructions, and directing guests to appropriate locations.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, medical calls, fire alarms, and other campus-related calls for service.Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems as assigned, and notify appropriate personnel when conditions warrant.Provide walking escorts and assist with wayfinding for community members as requested, following site-specific procedures.Support campus events by providing security-related presence, crowd direction, and access control at assigned venues.Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in detailed reports, including accurate timekeeping and clear communication to supervisors and/or client representatives.Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, and/or emergency medical services when required, and assist with scene control until responders arrive.Perform additional duties as assigned to support site operations and customer service expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A Guard Card or license is preferred.CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
