As a Security Officer - Retail Walk Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, watch for loss prevention concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to shoppers and store teams. Provide customer service to clients and store guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, back-of-house areas, receiving docks, and exterior perimeter, as directed by post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, suspected theft activity, and/or medical situations, and escalating to onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed.Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, help to deter loss, and support orderly customer flow during peak shopping periods.Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives, and follow reporting and escalation procedures.Minimum Requirements:
Customer service experience is preferred.A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Loss prevention experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
