As a Security Officer - Residential Community Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal in a residential community where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols of buildings and grounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support residents, guests, and staff with courteous customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, assist with access control and visitor entry as needed, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, noise complaints, suspicious activity, and medical situations, and notify property management and/or public services as needed.Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying resident and visitor information as required, and assisting with resident and vendor check-in procedures consistent with site policies.Complete timely written reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers and/or with site management.Minimum Requirements:
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.Be at least 21 years of age.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
