Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Lemont, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, as you move between areas and respond to calls for service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, production areas, tank farms, loading or unloading areas, and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs per site procedures.Monitor alarms, gates, cameras and/or other site systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, spills, odors, or other abnormal conditions through the proper notification channels.Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, documenting observations, patrol results, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.Assist with traffic control and vehicle staging for deliveries, pickups, and shift changes, helping to maintain orderly flow through the location.Communicate clearly with site personnel, supervisors, and/or emergency responders during incidents, drills, and routine operations, and follow post orders and chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A TSA issued TWIC is required.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
