Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.Operate the front desk and lobby reception area, greeting entrants, answering phones, providing directions and routing requests to the appropriate contacts.Manage access control by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials and maintaining visitor, vendor and contractor logs.Coordinate check-in and check-out for deliveries and service providers, communicating arrival details to site personnel and monitoring designated entry points.Monitor alarms, cameras and other security-related systems from the front desk, escalating concerns and/or irregular activity according to site procedures.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.Complete written and electronic reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports and access records with accurate, timely details.Support emergency preparedness activities by assisting with communications, accountability rosters and instructions for building occupants during drills and real events.Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence at the reception area and challenging unknown persons in accordance with site guidelines.Maintain familiarity with location-specific chemical and petrochemical considerations, including entry requirements for restricted areas and communicating applicable site rules to visitors and contractors.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.Be at least 21+ years of age.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
