As a Security Officer - Mall Entry Desk in Mira Loma, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location where you will help manage access control, greet associates and visitors, and verify credentials to support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, monitor activity in assigned areas, and communicate clearly with store teams and guests. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access at entrances and designated points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and/or vendor check-in, issuing passes when authorized, and maintaining required logs.Monitor foot traffic and retail activity for unusual behavior and potential policy violations, then communicate observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with local responders when directed.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and other unauthorized activity.Operate and monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, and report maintenance concerns and/or system issues through the proper channels.Support loss prevention initiatives by observing, reporting, and documenting suspicious activity while following post orders and local laws.Complete accurate incident reports, shift activity logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.Enforce site rules regarding restricted areas, after-hours access, and closing and/or opening procedures while maintaining a customer-focused presence.Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols, including confidentiality requirements and chain-of-command communications.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
