As a Security Officer - Property Patrol Driver in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support tenants and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate concerns to the team. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at a commercial property.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, looking for unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor access points and respond to requests for assistance, including directing visitors, verifying credentials when required, and supporting property management with security-related needs.Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities as appropriate and contacting public services when required.Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to the site supervisor and/or property management, and preserve information for follow-up.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Customer service experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
