As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol dynamic locations such as industrial sites, cultural institutions, and commercial properties. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, control access where needed, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, employees, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disturbances, and property-related concerns.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, galleries, offices, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests to appropriate locations.Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems, and take appropriate action based on post orders, including notifying onsite contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and log entries, and communicate significant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.Support industrial and commercial operations by observing loading dock activity, contractor deliveries, and restricted-area access for compliance with site requirements.Assist with protection of exhibits and building assets by observing guest behavior, reporting prohibited activity, and reinforcing location rules in a professional manner.Conduct opening and closing checks, including verifying doors are secured, lighting concerns are reported, and keys and access devices are controlled per site procedures.Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and staff, helping to resolve concerns through courteous communication and escalation when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
