As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and tenants by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related duties within a commercial real estate location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions needing attention.Monitor and report unusual activity, building conditions, and policy concerns, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.Perform access control functions such as checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and directing guests to appropriate destinations as required by site policy.Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation with clear, accurate details in accordance with Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including fire and alarm response, medical calls, elevator entrapments, and severe weather procedures, while coordinating with responding agencies as directed.Support property operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with tenant service requests when within scope of post duties.Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarm panels, and access control systems when assigned, reporting issues and/or anomalies through the proper channels.Maintain a professional presence, follow uniform standards, and use de-escalation and customer service techniques to resolve conflicts and/or complaints within scope of assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1+ years of security experience.A guard card/license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
