As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will be a visible presence while conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will support orderly operations through clear communication, customer service, and timely incident documentation. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public agency personnel as directed.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, concourses, stairwells, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and security-related concerns.Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and direct people to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional presence.Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
