As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor galleries, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, conducting routine patrols and staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet visitors, support staff and/or guests with clear communication, and document observations and incidents with care. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a museum or cultural institution setting.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing clear directions, documenting details, and notifying appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibits, administrative areas, loading areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.Monitor access points and public spaces, checking credentials when required and assisting with orderly entry, exit, and crowd flow during peak attendance and special events.Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, and/or potential threats to people, property, and collections, escalating concerns through the site chain of command.Complete daily activity reports and incident reports with accurate, timely information per Allied Universal and site requirements.Support emergency procedures such as alarms, evacuations, medical calls, and/or weather-related actions by following post orders and coordinating with site contacts and first responders.Maintain a professional presence and appearance, providing courteous assistance and de-escalation when addressing policy issues such as restricted areas, photography rules, and/or prohibited items.Operate and/or monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as radios, key control, and visitor management logs, and report malfunctions or irregularities.Work in varying environments and conditions based on the location, including indoor public areas, back-of-house spaces, and outdoor routes.

Minimum Requirements:

Be 21+ years of age.CPR Certification is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
