Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, suspicious activity, and activated alarms.Monitor access points and control entry according to site procedures, including verifying identification and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.Assist with de-escalation and conflict resolution when needed, using clear communication and a professional presence.Observe and report hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns to the appropriate department for follow-up.Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation in a timely manner.Operate security-related equipment such as radios, badge systems, and/or video monitoring systems as assigned by the site.Support emergency response activities such as fire alarms, severe weather procedures, missing person notifications, and/or evacuation support as directed by site leadership.Provide escort assistance for staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors when requested and permitted by site policy.Coordinate with healthcare staff and local responders when required, relaying accurate information and following site communication protocols.Perform additional duties as assigned to support site operations and customer service expectations.Minimum Requirements:
Hospital vaccines are required.Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
