As a Security Officer - Industrial Rover Driver in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, injuries, and/or property concerns through established communication channels.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.Control access at gates, entrances, and/or designated checkpoints by verifying identification, visitor authorization, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and/or access control systems, and communicate observed issues to supervisors and/or site contacts for follow-up.Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, including patrol logs, vehicle and/or foot patrol observations, and visitor and/or truck traffic records.Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound trucks, documenting seal numbers when assigned, and/or directing drivers to appropriate staging areas per site procedures.Perform facility checks such as door and window inspections, key control activities when assigned, and reporting of maintenance concerns like lighting outages, damaged fencing, and/or unsecured areas.Assist with emergency and/or evacuation procedures as directed, including notifying appropriate personnel and guiding occupants to assembly areas when required.Maintain a professional presence, follow post orders, and coordinate with site management and/or local emergency services as needed.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Alarm panel experience is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
