As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage badge access, verify credentials, and monitor entry points and alarm activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, conduct routine rounds as assigned, document observations, and deliver polished customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, access control procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Staff access control points to monitor entry and exit at a manufacturing and industrial location, directing traffic flow and verifying authorization prior to granting access.Check identification and/or credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs in accordance with site requirements.Screen inbound and outbound vehicles and deliveries as required, including verifying shipping and receiving documentation and coordinating with site contacts.Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems and report irregular conditions according to site procedures.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Complete written and/or electronic reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and access control records with clear, timely details.Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents, supporting site operations with security-related assistance as needed.Support enforcement of site rules related to restricted areas, personal protective equipment checkpoints when directed, and contractor compliance by reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
