What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, completing reports and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and actions per site requirements.Support hospital operations by assisting with wayfinding, managing visitor flow when directed, and maintaining professional communication with staff while protecting confidentiality expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1+ years of security experience.Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree or 60 College Credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
