Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to concerns, and clearly communicate updates to site leaders and emergency services when needed. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required under AU Driver Policy requirements.

Position Type: Full Time, Entry Level Security Position.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and staff in a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, laboratories, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter as assigned.Control access to the location by monitoring visitor and vendor entry, verifying authorization, and directing traffic to appropriate destinations per site procedures.Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report irregular activity per established protocols.Complete detailed reports and shift logs for incidents, patrol findings, and notable observations using Allied Universal reporting procedures.Provide a visible presence and interact professionally with patients, visitors, and employees to help to deter unwanted activity.Assist with emergency preparedness activities such as fire and/or severe weather response, evacuations, and shelter-in-place actions as directed by site policy.Support protection of sensitive work areas by observing for unsecured doors, restricted access concerns, and unusual behavior, then reporting concerns to site representatives.Work collaboratively with clinical and facilities teams to address security-related concerns while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Access Control and Badge Experience is preferred.Customer Service Experience is preferred.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
