As a Security Officer - in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and requesting medical staff and/or public emergency services when needed.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.Monitor entrances and controlled areas, assisting with access control, visitor direction, and maintaining orderly traffic flow in lobbies and high-activity areas.Observe and report unauthorized persons, suspicious behavior, and/or unsecured doors, then take appropriate actions consistent with post orders and location policies.Assist with patient and visitor issues such as lost property inquiries, wayfinding, and service requests while maintaining professional communication and discretion.Support staff with security-related concerns such as disruptive individuals, trespass notices, and restricted-area violations, escalating to supervision as required.Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and radios, and respond to activations per site procedures.Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation in a timely manner.Participate in drills and respond to facility codes and emergency events as directed, including evacuation support, door control, and scene management until relieved.Coordinate with nursing units, facilities, and administration to address security-related issues and service requests during the shift.Maintain a professional uniform appearance and follow Allied Universal standards, post orders, and confidentiality expectations in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Requirements:

Be 21+ years of age.Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare/medical‐related field.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
