As a Security Officer - Highrise Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting guests and staff with access control, visitor and vendor check-in, key and badge coordination, and clear incident documentation. You will stay visible to help reduce security-related issues while delivering calm, service-focused communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service at the front desk of a hotel and resort location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Greet and assist guests, visitors, and vendors; answer questions, provide directions, and support a positive arrival experience while maintaining a professional presence.Control access through the lobby and front desk area by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when required, and maintaining visitor logs per site policy.Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels; document unusual activity and notify appropriate personnel based on post orders.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest concerns, disturbances, medical calls, and other emergencies as directed.Communicate with hotel management, front desk staff, and Allied Universal leadership to coordinate responses, share relevant information, and support continuity of operations.Complete detailed written reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, including times, locations, actions taken, and persons involved.Assist with key control and lost and found procedures per site policy, including documenting items and coordinating transfers to authorized staff.Support closing, opening, and shift change activities at the front desk, including pass-down briefings, reviewing logs, and confirming equipment status.Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior through attentive observation, customer-focused interaction, and consistent adherence to site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
