As a Security Officer - City Council Chambers in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at a government location.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate contacts based on site protocols.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working conditions may vary by site.Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, and direct guests to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.Complete security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or client representatives as needed.Minimum Requirements:
Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
