As a Security Officer - Government Entry Control in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will support access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry points, and documenting activity. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols when assigned, and communicate clearly with staff and law enforcement to help identify and reduce security-related concerns. Provide customer service to all visitors and personnel by following site-specific access control procedures at a government location, including verifying identification and authorization for entry.Operate access control equipment and systems such as badge readers, visitor logs, and key control processes, and report irregularities per post orders.Monitor entry points, cameras, and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, escalating concerns through the established chain of command.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site staff and/or emergency responders as directed.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas as required, documenting security-related observations and completing shift reports.Minimum Requirements:
