As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol Driver - Weekdays in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post where you will engage with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to security-related situations, all while being part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, noting any unusual conditions or concerns.Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals from restricted areas within the location.Observe and report any security-related incidents or suspicious activity to Allied Universal and/or client representatives.Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by providing information and directions as needed.Complete all required documentation and logs related to security-related activities and incidents.Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and/or client management.

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of security-related experience is required.Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
