As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and your team, and respond to situations with a calm, customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, utility site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility facilities, buildings, yards, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance issues.Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and help to control visitor, contractor, and delivery access to the location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including equipment alarms, access control alarms, and reports of suspicious activity.Observe and report unusual conditions such as tampering, unauthorized access, damaged fencing, open gates, lighting outages, and environmental concerns, and notify appropriate contacts per post orders.Operate and/or monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels where assigned, and communicate status updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.Complete routine patrol and incident documentation, including shift activity reports and incident reports, and maintain accurate logs of calls for service, access events, and key control as required.Provide direction to visitors and contractors, assist with check-in and/or check-out procedures when assigned, and maintain a professional presence while interacting with the public.Support emergency and utility continuity procedures by assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place actions, and post-incident scene control as directed by site policy and Allied Universal supervision.Follow all site rules, PPE requirements, and traffic patterns while working in outdoor and indoor environments that may vary by location and weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
