As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a public-facing location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support staff and visitors with strong customer service, document security-related activity, and report issues promptly. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public-facing library location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and/or calls for assistance.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, watching for unusual activity and/or potential hazards, and report concerns per post orders.Control access by checking authorized areas, assisting with visitor direction, and supporting orderly use of public spaces.Complete routine reports and documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and/or maintenance notifications with accurate, timely details.Communicate clearly with site representatives, patrons, and/or Allied Universal leadership using approved radio and/or phone procedures.Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather response, and/or alarm activations following site-specific instructions.Support property rules by providing verbal direction and de-escalation when appropriate, requesting additional assistance when needed.Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with site-specific post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
