As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and contractor check-ins, and monitor activity using computers and/or tablets. You will maintain a visible presence, complete routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with residents and property staff to help reduce security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $20.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or staff by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies for a residential community.Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or resident confirmations, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other access control systems, and report malfunctions, unusual activity, and/or policy concerns through the established chain of command.Respond to incidents, disputes, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying emergency services when appropriate and completing incident documentation.Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
