Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms and/or suspicious activity.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas and perimeter as applicable. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor customer and employee activity to help to deter theft, loitering and/or other policy violations, and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.Control access to non-public areas by verifying authorization for vendors, contractors and/or deliveries, and directing visitors to the appropriate point of contact.Provide visible presence near high-traffic areas and respond to customer service needs such as giving directions, assisting with lost property reports and/or coordinating with store staff during busy periods.Document patrols, incidents, observations and/or policy violations using written reports and required logs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.Support store opening and closing procedures when assigned, including checking doors, gates and/or exterior conditions and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:
The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.A guard card/license is preferred.Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
