As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a highly visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations using a computer or tablet, and communicate clearly with guests, tenants, and onsite teams. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when needed and providing clear updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail and entertainment venue, including interior common areas, entrances, parking lots, and perimeter routes as assigned.Maintain a high-visibility presence to help to deter unwanted activity, monitor crowd behavior, and assist with de-escalation of disputes in public-facing areas.Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate entry points and procedures.Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other systems as assigned, identify unusual activity, and initiate appropriate response actions in accordance with site procedures.Write clear, detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and complete required documentation related to armed post duties.Assist with loss prevention support by observing for retail theft indicators, coordinating with site management, and reporting suspected criminal activity according to policy.Provide escort assistance for employees, guests, and cash or valuables movements when assigned, following site procedures and local requirements.Comply with all local and state armed post requirements, maintain required permits and training, and follow weapon handling, storage, and use-of-force guidelines as directed by Allied Universal and site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
