What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, suspicious activity, disturbances, and medical facility policy violations.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by location.Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, supporting check-in expectations, and helping to maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies, corridors, and common areas as assigned.Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, including unsecured doors, malfunctioning lighting, and unusual activity, and communicate concerns to site leadership per post orders.Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and relay pertinent information during shift transitions.Assist with de-escalation and provide support during behavioral incidents in accordance with site policies, requesting additional resources when needed.Operate security-related systems such as radios, alarm panels, and video monitoring equipment as assigned, and notify appropriate personnel when issues are observed.Support emergency procedures such as fire alarms, evacuations, and severe weather actions by following site-specific instructions and coordinating with responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Vaccines are required for hospital roles.Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.CPR certification is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
