As a Security Officer - Driving Patrol - Tech Site in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus and/or office environment.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, access issues, and other security-related concerns.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor purposes in accordance with site procedures.Operate and monitor security-related systems such as access control, visitor management tools, CCTV, and intrusion alarms, escalating issues per post orders.Complete detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, including documenting observations and actions taken.Provide concierge-style assistance such as giving directions, answering questions, and coordinating with site contacts while maintaining a professional presence.Support protection of confidential workspaces by checking doors, restricted areas, and after-hours access permissions per site policy.Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership, site management, and local emergency responders as needed to support incident response and communications.Perform foot and/or vehicle patrols in varying working environments and conditions, including nights, weekends, and changing weather as applicable to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.Be at least 21+ years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
