As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document observations using site tools. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, offering a fast-moving environment where integrity, teamwork, and innovation are valued.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and access control concerns.Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, validating visitor appointments, and directing guests to the appropriate locations.Monitor alarms, cameras, and building systems as assigned, and report irregular activity through established communication channels.Document patrols, incidents, and service requests in daily activity reports and incident reports using required tools and/or systems.Support site operations by assisting with badging processes, visitor management, package delivery procedures, and contractor check-in requirements.Provide clear directions and de-escalation support during disturbances, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior while following site procedures.Coordinate with local emergency services and site management as needed, and assist with site evacuations and muster accountability when directed.Perform foot patrol and/or vehicle patrol duties as assigned, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for signs of forced entry or unauthorized access.Operate radios, phones, and other communication equipment to maintain contact with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.Follow post orders, confidentiality requirements, and information handling guidelines appropriate to a technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
