As a Security Officer - CRE Access Control in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location where you will help manage access control, verify badges, and support visitor entry while maintaining a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, monitor security-related activity, and respond to alarms and other incidents with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and issuing visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.Screen and direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate location, maintaining a professional presence at access control points.Monitor security-related alarms, cameras, and building systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying Allied Universal supervision as required.Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and access logs with clear, accurate details per site requirements.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including parking areas and common spaces, to help to deter unauthorized activity.Assist property management and building staff with security-related requests such as key control, elevator access, and after-hours access coordination, following site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.Customer Service Experience is preferred.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
