As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and assisting with access and visitor needs. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements, while supporting a culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; observe for unusual conditions and/or potential hazards and report concerns per site procedures.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and/or alarm activations.Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and documenting entries and/or exits according to site requirements.Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and/or other required documentation in a timely manner.Communicate professionally with site representatives, local emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership using phone, radio, and/or written formats.Assist with basic traffic and/or parking direction during peak periods, special events, and/or emergency situations as directed by post orders.Support emergency procedures such as building evacuations and/or lockdown protocols by following site instructions and providing clear directions to occupants.Perform additional duties as assigned by Allied Universal and/or site leadership consistent with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
