Provide customer service to location staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.Monitor entrances, gates, and controlled access points; verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders and site procedures.Control visitor processing by directing guests to designated check-in areas, assisting with sign-in requirements, and/or coordinating with location personnel for approvals.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact location authorities and/or emergency services when conditions warrant.Observe, document, and report suspicious behavior, security-related concerns, and/or property issues using detailed written reports and timely verbal notifications.Support movement control procedures as directed, such as monitoring restricted corridors, exterior sally port areas, and/or other designated secure zones in accordance with site policy.Operate post equipment as assigned, which may include radios, access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and/or electronic reporting tools.Participate in briefings, follow post orders, and complete required documentation to support consistent coverage across shifts.Minimum Requirements:
Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.A guard card/license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
