Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in New York City, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, building entrances, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Control access points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing foot traffic, and supporting orderly entry and exit during peak periods.Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, and report unusual conditions according to site procedures.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for medical, fire, and/or law enforcement assistance when appropriate.Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs with clear, timely, and accurate information.Support government office operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with queue management while maintaining a professional presence.Communicate and coordinate with site representatives and Allied Universal supervision regarding policy questions, post updates, and security-related concerns.Participate in required briefings, training, and post inspections, and follow established procedures for key control, equipment use, and evidence handling when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Have 1+ years of security experience.Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.Be 21+ years of age.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
