Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Driver in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver attentive customer service to tenants and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to cover larger areas and respond to calls for service. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset every shift.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property areas such as lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, loading zones, and the building perimeter, noting unusual activity and maintenance concerns.Monitor access points and assist with access control activities, including checking identification when directed, verifying visitor and/or contractor authorization, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, suspicious activity, and property damage, and notify management and/or public responders as needed.Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol documentation, incident reports, and shift activity notes, using handwritten and/or electronic reporting tools.Observe and report hazards, unsecured doors, broken locks, lighting outages, and other conditions that may impact property operations, and submit notifications to site contacts for follow-up.Provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations, while maintaining a professional demeanor and customer-focused approach.Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or building systems when assigned, and follow site procedures for acknowledgment, escalation, and documentation.Assist with tenant-related requests such as directions, after-hours access procedures, and coordination with property staff, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Participate in required training and follow Allied Universal and site-specific post orders, including radio protocols, incident escalation steps, and emergency response guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.- A guard card/license is preferred.- Alarm panel experience is preferred.- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
