As a Security Officer - Chemical Site - Full Time in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry points, verify credentials such as TWIC, track visitors and deliveries, and support security-related reporting and communication. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, and provide a strong customer service presence. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state and meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate check-in process.Operate access control systems to grant and/or restrict entry, monitor door and gate activity, and document access events per post orders.Screen vehicles and packages as required by site policy, including coordinating inspections and maintaining traffic flow at entry and exit points.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership per escalation procedures.Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and other security-related equipment, reporting malfunctions and documenting noteworthy activity.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify suspicious or unusual activity and/or hazards requiring follow-up.Complete required logs and reports, including visitor logs, vehicle logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, using clear and accurate documentation.Support emergency and operational events by assisting with controlled evacuations, access restrictions, and accountability processes as directed by site procedures.Communicate professionally with site personnel, contractors, and first responders, providing directions and status updates as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A TSA issued TWIC is required.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
