As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist employees and visitors with customer service, and communicate clearly while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data-focused location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.Control access to the site by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries to designated locations per site procedures.Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control platforms, and report irregularities per post orders.Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal management.Provide support during evacuations, severe weather procedures, and other emergency response activities by following site instructions and coordinating with responders as needed.Practice de-escalation techniques and professional communication when interacting with employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors.Conduct interior and exterior inspections to identify maintenance concerns, unsecured doors, and other hazards, and report findings through the proper channels.Operate post equipment such as radios, phones, computers, and patrol tools, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
