As a Security Officer - Broadcast Roving Patrol in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying appropriate contacts.Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and guests in accordance with site requirements.Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and critical areas for signs of irregular conditions and report concerns per established procedures.Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems as assigned, and document and/or escalate alerts based on site guidelines.Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs using written and/or electronic systems.Support security-related screening and delivery procedures, including coordinating with shipping and receiving areas when assigned.Provide directions and assistance to employees and visitors while maintaining professional presence at the location.Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and local responders as required by site policy.Minimum Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
