As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Plaza Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed post requiring an armed guard card and Level III armed certification. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery and/or shopping center location.Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with licensing and post orders, maintaining proper firearm handling, retention, and storage practices while on duty.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, calling for medical assistance and/or law enforcement when needed, and completing required notifications.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Complete timely incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal management and/or the client representative.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.Be at least 21+ years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.Have 5+ years of security-related experience.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
